The last time we sent you an update on the ShineYourEye website, we asked for your help with sharing information about your elected representatives.
We’re happy to share that a lot of progress has been made! You can now find updated details of your Governors, Senators, and House of Representatives members live on shineyoureye.org. That means their names, contact information, and more are just a click away.
But we’re not done yet.
We’re still filling in the gaps for State Houses of Assembly and Local Government officials. Right now, we’ve updated Assemblies in 7 states and LG officials in 5 states. That leaves plenty of blank spaces we’d love your help to complete.
Here’s how you can pitch in:
If you know your Assembly member’s correct phone number, office address, or social media handle - send it our way.
If you can confirm details of your Local Government chair, we’d love to have that too.
Email us directly at [email protected] with any verified info you have.
And even if you don’t have new info, you can still help by spreading the word. The more Nigerians who use ShineYourEye, the stronger and more reliable the platform becomes.
From Hearings to Action: Citizens-Driven Constitutional Reforms
This week, we presented our memo at the National Assembly’s Public Hearing on Constitutional Alteration Bills. Our submission stressed that reforms must not only be legislated but must also reflect the will and participation of citizens.
