“If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor.”- Desmond Tutu(South African Cleric and Nobel Laureate)
Dear Active Citizen,Yesterday, April 14th marked the 8th anniversary of the abduction of the 276 #ChibokGirls. While 167 of the #ChibokGirls have either escaped, been released or found, 109 #ChibokGirls are still missing. This is a painful milestone but we shall continue to demand the release of the remaining #ChibokGirls, Leah Sharibu and other kidnapped victims. In Lagos tomorrow, April 16th? Join the weekly sit out at Falomo Roundabout, Ikoyi at 12 noon.
#NoJusticeNoToll
On April 1, 2022, Lekki Concession Company Limited (LCC), a company 100% owned by the Lagos State Government (LASG) since 2014, began testing technology to resume tolling on the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge despite a subsisting judgment from 2014 that rendered it illegal.
Reopening the toll at this time is not solely illegal but insensitive given the current socio-economic situation of the country and the unresolved issues relating to #EndSARS. Mr Governor and LASG cannot continue to inflict more suffering and hardship even as it denies its citizens justice.Sign the online petition today and engage your representatives to make your position on the tolling clear.Don't know who represents you?
