Your Vote Counts!

 Wednesday, June 8, 2022

“Votes don’t count is the big lie politicians sell to those whose votes cannot be bought so that only those whose votes can be bought will come to the polling units.”- Aisha Yesufu (Entrepreneur & Activist)

Like in the legendary Shakespearean Julius Caesar, the Senates gathered in Rome, met at night, cross carpeted, and verbally signed alliances to remove Caesar. In Nigeria, the elections are here; plans and midnight alliances are to grab power, deepen individual pockets, in some cases with foreign coins. The outcome, who knows? Will Nigeria and Nigerians be the Caesar? With only one important tool, Nigerians have their PVCs. How do you, a Nigerian, plan on using your PVC?There are 261 days to the 2023 general elections. The political vibes hit up as parties present their flag bearers and alliances formed. In hindsight, the turns and twists across all political parties in their recent primary elections present a   lucid opportunity for The Electorates to assess the candidates’ credibility for deserving the one important tool-your vote. As a voter, here are some 5C-parameters to help you decide who you should vote for:

  • Which of the candidates possess the competence and capacity to lead Nigeria to glory it deserves?

  • Which of the candidates has the most trustworthy character to serve as a public servant?

  • Which of the candidates has the courage to make human-centered decisions?

  • Who among the candidates has demonstrated enough genuine compassion to make your socio-economic realities now and your future better?

#RSVP is the way to go:Register for your Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC)Select the candidates that meet the 5C parameters above.Vote, not fightProtect your vote because it counts
