Charles Omole
(Political Strategist and Author)
Dear ,
We had the
9th year commemoration of the abduction of the Chibok Girls
last Friday, April 14
, with the press conference by the Chibok community in Abuja, where they called on the Borno State government to release the
14 girls in their custody
.
On Saturday, April 15
, we participated in a larger version of the weekly Lagos Sit-Out.
Grace Dauda
, an escaped Chibok girl spoke about her journey; thanked the audience for not giving up on her sisters, and expressed hope in God answering prayers as she was also present at the 8
year commemoration. She also led the roll call of the missing girls.
Government representatives
,
religious leaders
, members of the
Chibok community
, and the
Bring Back Our Girls movement
also spoke.
As we continue to demand for their safe return, we invite you to click
to watch the video of the event and join us in amplifying the
#BringBackOurGirls
campaign.

Final Adamawa State Governorship Election Results
Controversy erupted during the collation of the supplementary election results in Adamawa state when the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC),
Hudu Yunusa-Ari
, declared
Aisha Binani
as the winner of the election, despite the absence of the Returning Officer, Mele Lamido, who is authorized by law to make such a declaration.
This prompted the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to suspend the collation exercise and instruct Yunusa-Ari to stay away from the office. INEC also requested that the Inspector General of Police, Baba Ahmed, investigate and prosecute the REC.
EiE's ED, 'Yemi Adamolekun, shared her thoughts on the matter during
on Tuesday morning.
