#NigerianWomenOccupyNASS

This week, active citizens continued to #OccupyNASS to demand for the #ConstitutionWomenWant. Recall that the National Assembly voted against the proposed gender bills in the 5th Constitution Alteration Bills. The gender bills are aimed at addressing the discrimination in citizenship and indigeneship as well as the current under-representation of women in politics.Active citizens! If you can't make it to Abuja, you can engage your Senator and House of Representatives member wherever you are. Don’t know who represents you? Visit www.shineyoureye.org. Then call, send texts and emails to let them know your position on the gender bills. You can also visit their constituency offices.
