Dear ,Yesterday at the Lekki Toll Gate, hundreds of youths were tear gassed, with some arrested for peacefully gathering UNARMED in memorial of the lives lost at the #EndSARS protest two years ago. This did not stop our resilient youths from gathering in several cities in Nigeria and in the diaspora, including Ibadan, Port Harcourt, Lagos, London, Johannesburg, Montreal, Abuja and Benin.

The Flood is Geting Werser

Suleiman Adamu, the Minister of Water Resources, claimed that God was to blame and not poor planning on the side of the Federal Government for the floods that have engulfed different states  of the nation and plunged communities into unseen devastation for a third week.

The severe flooding has had a significant impact on a lot of states in the country, including Anambra, Delta, Rivers, Jigawa, Cross-River, Bayelsa, Adamawa, Gombe, parts of Kaduna, Kogi, Niger, Benue and Nasarawa have also been hit hard.

According to reports, so far, the flood has killed more than 600 people, displaced 1.4 million residents and destroyed 89,348 houses and 70,566 hectares of farmland and crops.

Liz Truss Resigns

The British Prime Minister, Liz Truss has resigned from office 45 days after she was elected. According to her, she could not deliver on the mandate that was given to her. She forgot the cardinal principle that you campaign in poetry and govern in prose!

She will be the first United Kingdom Prime Minister with the shortest tenure ever.

If only we didn’t have to wait 4 years to kick Nigerian politicians out!
