Friday, March 10, 2023

“The people’s voice is the voice of God, and as long as that voice is heard, democracy will be alive.

- M.K.O Abiola

(Presumed Winner of the June 12, 1993 Presidential Elections)

Dear ,If you were all set to cast your vote tomorrow, we hate to break it to you, but the Governorship and State House of Assembly elections have been postponed to Saturday, March 18th. We know, we know, you were probably all ready to make your voice heard and cast your ballots, but... And we thought we had escaped postponements this election cycle!

Now, you have an extra week to prepare! Make sure you know were your PU is (for those who were lost on the 25th) and check out those who are contesting to represent you! www.gotomypu.com.Plus, you can now plan an even bigger and better election-watching party! Break out the popcorn, crack open a cold one, and get ready to witness history in the making (or, you know, a bunch of people standing in line waiting to vote). 😊

Nasarawa Guber Debate

The Nasarawa Guber Debate may have had a few no-shows, but we still managed to have a good time. Our appreciation goes to Yakubu Abdullahi Maidoya of the NNPP & Mohammed Mustapha Alfa of the SDP for participating in the debate & sharing their respective visions for the progress of the state. In addition, the candidates signed a peace pact, reaffirming their commitment to a peaceful and violence-free election, thanks to the Vote Not Fight campaign by the 2Baba Foundation.

Stay tuned for more updates on the dialogue series.

We are pleased to share that Agbu Kefas of the PDP; Emmanuel Bwacha of the APC; Muhammad Sanni of the NNPP; J. Wukari Wasa of the PRP; Abubakar Sadiq of the AA and Fedemure S. Manu of the APGA have all confirmed their participation in the debate. We encourage all citizens to tune in to Frontline TV and Rock 92.3 FM on Wednesday, March 15th to listen to the debate. To join the conversation online, click here.
