CORRECTION
On Wednesday, June 22, 2022
, we reported that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had extended the ongoing continuous voter registration (CVR) exercise by
60 days
following multiple media reports.
This is incorrect and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Recall that the INEC Chairman,
Prof. Mahmood Yakubu
stated at
that, "
with every registration, there has always been a clamour for extension towards the end. The Commission will always listen to what Nigerians want and facilitate it to make sure that as many Nigerians as possible register and collect their PVC.
"
We look forward to INEC's announcement on the extension. In the interim, don't wait to the last minute - go and register!
.
Stay safe this weekend. The EiE Nigeria Team
