High Cost of Nomination Forms

The two major political parties in Nigeria - the All Progressives Congress (APC) & the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) have announced the cost for Nomination and Expression of Interest forms for the 2023 elections. The APC pegged the presidential form at N100 million and the PDP pegged it at N40 million.Active citizens, how many youths can afford these exorbitant fees? Abi they are wyening us ni!This system does not provide a fair playing ground for all potential candidates. It only gives room for incumbents, those who have benefited from political patronage and the rich. Active citizens, our mode of party politics can change but we must begin to get involved in the decision making even at the political party level.
