Walking On Our Terms!

Friday, December 3, 2021

“For there can be no healing without peace; there can be no peace without justice; and there can be no justice without respect for human rights and the rule of law.”

- Kofi Annan (1938-2018)

(Former Secretary-General of the United Nations)

Dear Comrade,The recently released White Paper on the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry (JPI) report of the Lekki Toll Gate incident blatantly refutes most of the content in the report. While the version of the report in circulation was leaked, the content has been affirmed by members of the Panel.

How do we reconcile Sanwo-Olu's 30.11.21 speech on Lagos State being the centre of excellence and truth, with this heart-shattering rejection of the 20.10.20 killings as spurious?

We are further infuriated by Sanwo-Olu’s call for a "Walk of Peace" with EndSARS frontliners. Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, how do we walk for peace without justice and reconciliation?Fam! Na like this we go dey? Get your PVC!#JusticeWalk

tier of government and the closest to you. It is interesting how most citizens tend to hold both the federal and state government accountable with little or no focus on the LG. EiE is fixing this with the #myLGA project which is aimed at ensuring active citizens' participation in local governance. The project is ongoing in five states: Ebonyi, Kwara, Niger, Ondo and Yobe.Follow #myLGA on social media to stay updated.
