This month, we're celebrating three phenomenal changemakers who prove that all it takes is one person with heart, grit, and a never-say-die attitude to change the world — or at least a good chunk of Nigeria.

Let’s start with some good news!

We’re bursting with pride as we announce that Doreen Omosele, one of our incredible #OnePerson honorees, has WON Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s Award for Social Impact at the Lagos Leadership Summit 2025! 🥁 👏👏👏

Doreen isn’t just doing the work - she’s changing lives. A fierce women’s advocate, she’s been rehabilitating sex workers across Nigeria, equipping them with counseling, skills, and economic empowerment to rewrite their stories and reclaim their dignity. Her impact is deep, transformative, and now, nationally recognized! We also celebrate another phenomenal finalist and honoree — Tolulope Makinwa-Adeniyi, a social entrepreneur who is supporting over 1,500 entrepreneurs and changing the lives of 475+ girls through her Big Sisters Project. Tolu, we see you. We salute you.

Meet Our #OnePerson for April: Victor Ugo

Victor is not your regular doctor. After battling depression in 2014, he didn't just heal — he created healing for others. In 2016, he founded Mentally Aware Nigeria Initiative (MANI), a youth-led movement that's been breaking the silence on mental health across Nigeria.

30,000+ people (yes, you read that right) have received crisis support and help through MANI, making it one of the loudest and most effective voices for mental health in Nigeria today. Victor’s story reminds us that sometimes, the most powerful thing you can say is: “Me too — and I’m here to help.”

We’re inspired. We’re proud. We’re shouting it from the rooftops.
