A MESSAGE OF HOPE ON OUR 14TH ANNIVERSARY
“We can't bury our heads in the sand like ostriches and pretend it's just about me, myself, I and nothing is happening. No, we must engage.”
‘Yemi Adamolekun
(Executive Director, EiE Nigeria)
Dear Active Citizen,
It's a major milestone for us at Enough is Enough Nigeria - our 14th anniversary! This anniversary marks an incredible journey since that first Abuja protest led by young people over a decade ago.
To mark this major milestone, our very own ‘Yemi Adamolekun dropped a special video message that's got everyone feeling inspired.
‘Yemi didn't hold back on the real-real. She checked our politicians over their latest shenanigans but reminded us that at the end of the day, the power is ours as citizens!
At EiE's core is promoting the "Office of the Citizen" - empowering Nigerians to recognize their power as citizens and use it actively. As Aisha Yesufu famously stated, "No Nigerian is more Nigerian than any other Nigerian." ‘Yemi echoed this, calling on all of us to collectively own nation-building.
So there you have it fam! Spread that message of hope by hitting up your friends and family to get active as engaged citizens.
Stay safe this week.
The EiE Nigeria Team.
