Last week, the team at BudgIT and Enough is Enough (EiE) Nigeria hosted a press conference to share some exciting news. They shared ongoing plans to host the "Technology, New Media, Citizens and Governance Conference (TNCG)" on November 28, 2024 in Lagos, Nigeria.

Some of the key highlights from the press briefing:
  1. Professor Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, former Vice President of Nigeria, will deliver the keynote address, with Dr. Bosun Tijani (Nigeria's Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy) and Mr. Mondli Gungubele (Deputy Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies, South Africa) participating in discussions.

  2. Leading civic voices include Ousman Kallay (iLAB, Liberia), Mutemi Wa Kiama (Africans Rising Movement, Kenya), and Richard Muraya (The Demography Project - Kenya).

  3. From the private sector, speakers include Enyo Kumahor (The Cobalt Partners, Ghana), Hannah Kates (Stears Open Data), and Iyinoluwa Aboyeji (Future Africa).

  4. In collaboration with TASCK, a leading creative talent management organisation, there will be a pitch session for content creators to make governance issues more accessible and engaging. The top two creators will receive awards.
