“And if we do not understand the past and build upon its successes, it is very likely that our success, however important, will be limited, our progress will be stunted, and the future will continue to mirror the past.”

Dear {{First name|Active Citizen}},

Over the past decade and a half, we’ve gone from a small group of passionate young Nigerians to a movement that’s changed the game: mobilising millions of voters with #RSVP, amplifying the #5for5 demands during #EndSARS, and staying on the frontlines afterwards, pushing for justice through the judicial panels and continued civic advocacy. We’ve built civic tech tools, driven conversations on transparency, and kept citizens at the heart of Nigeria’s democracy.

This December, we’re marking the milestone with an unforgettable celebration themed “Footprints & Frontlines.” Footprints because of the trail we’ve blazed together, and frontlines because the work of building a better Nigeria never stops.

We’re beyond excited that Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, WTO Director-General, will give the keynote, coming full circle from a speech she gave 15 years ago that inspired EiE's beginnings. And yes, the event will be hosted by none other than Ayo Mairo-Ese and Ebuka Obi-Uchendu - you’ve probably seen them on your screens, but wait until you see them live!

Our Executive Director, Opeyemi Adamolekun, says it best: "EiE’s story proves that a small group of committed citizens can wake a nation’s conscience. For 15 years, we’ve turned frustration into action. And we’re just getting started."

Want to catch all the action? Keep an eye on our Newsletter and social media for updates on how you can join the celebration, get behind-the-scenes peeks, and see the premiere of our special anniversary film. Trust us - you won’t want to miss this!

Support Our Work!

The work of building a better Nigeria never stops - and neither do we.

Have a great weekend!
The EiE Nigeria Team.
