Happy Independence Day!

Sunday, October 1st was the 57th anniversary of Nigeria’s independence from British colonial rule. Nigeria has come a long way and we still have a long way to go!

‘The Platform’ held on Monday, October 2nd. Speakers included: Prof. Patrick Utomi, Segun Adeniyi, Segun Odegbami, Bishop Matthew Kukah, Okey Enelamah, Roman Oseghale & Prof. Osaghae Eghosa. #OpenNASS: 68 Days after Voting on the #ConstitutionReviewBills

68 days after the National Assembly voted on the #ConstitutionReviewBills, the records of how each member voted have not been made public. #OpenNASS demands that the National Assembly makes public their voting records.

Over 20,000 Nigerians have signed the petition demanding for an #OpenNASS. Lend your voice and sign the petition.

Gombe added to the OfficeOfTheCitizen Radio Family!

We added Gombe to our family of OOTC Radio Programmes last week Thursday! Victor Laima of Laima Foundation discussed the concept of ‘Office of the Citizen’. He answered 11 phone calls but 93 calls were unanswered due to time constraints!

#DinoRecall Updates

Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) arrived at the National Assembly on Tuesday, September 26th to serve the Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Dino Melaye a notice of recall but his office was locked. The bags were thereafter dropped at his doorstep.
