EiE, Paradigm Initiative (PI) and BudgIT hosted the 3rd New Media, Citizens and Governance Conference which held in Abuja with the theme “Government, New Media, and Civic Spaces".In his keynote address, Chidi Odinkalu, the former Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), praised the role new media has played in ensuring dissemination of information and demystifying the aura around power.We had speakers from 7 countries. Some of the speakers at the panel sessions included Adebola Willaims, Bukky Shonibare, Cecilia Mandu (Kenya), Farida Nabourema (Togo), Gbenga Sesan,  Laila Johnson-Salami, Megan Chapman, Ose Anenih, Yasmine Bilkis (Sierra Leone) among others.
