"The man dies in all who keep silent in the face of tyranny."- Wole Soyinka (Nobel Laureate)
Shi'ites vs Nigerian Army
Shi'ites have been killed and arrested by the Nigerian Army since Monday. The actions came on the heels of the protest organized to demand for the release of their leader, Sheikh Ibrahim Elzakzaky, who had been released on bail for over 1 year but is still in jail.In the wake of these killings, the Nigerian Army must be held accountable for documented deaths and missing citizens. Our security agencies continue to act in ways that show disregard for Nigerian citizens. This is not acceptable in a democracy!
