EiE Nigeria Weekly Update Friday, November 1, 2019 - Partners Newsletter

#OfficeOfTheCitizen Radio Updates

Dear ,Thank you for your partnership with us.We are writing to update you on our #OfficeOfTheCitizen radio programs across the country.EiE is presently in-between grants and cannot continue funding the regular weekly programs for a quarter (which costs averagely N25,000 per episode) in all 26 states. Our plan was to suspend engagements in the 17 states where we have featured for more than one year.Of these states, 2 are free – Lagos & Abeokuta.Due to efforts of partners and radio stations, we will continue engagements in 5 of the other states - Anambra, Enugu, Oyo and Plateau at no cost to us for 1 quarter & in Osun, for 2 quarters. Our sincere appreciation to you!

While we are working to ensure we find effective ways to sustain the engagements in all the states, we urge you to kindly start thinking of the weekly engagements as one of your organization’s projects and as such, work on funding opportunities.Tell your success stories and hopefully, interested bodies can support. For example, one of our partners in Adamawa State (First Step Action for Children Initiative) got a grant directly from the International Republican Institute (IRI) based on their #OfficeOfTheCitizen engagements in the state.
