On Saturday, March 9th, Nigerians went to the polls to decide the governors, state house of Assembly members and Federal Capital Territory council members in 29 states and the FCT. APC won the governorship election in 13 states while PDP won in 9 states. 6 governorship elections were inconclusive while Rivers State was suspended indefinitely due to range of reasons including over voting, disruption of the process and discontinuation of the use of Card Readers midway in the election. Governorship supplementary elections were conducted on Saturday, March 23rd in Sokoto, Kano, Plateau and Benue States. APC candidates won in Kano and Plateau states while PDP won in Benue and Sokoto States. Adamawa supplementary election was conducted on Thursday, March 28th and was won by PDP.
