Footprints: Past | Present | Future

Friday, March 20, 2020 EiE Nigeria Weekly Update

"One person can and does make a difference."- Albert Schweitzer (Philosopher and Humanitarian)

Monday, March 16th, marked a decade of building a new generation of active citizens for us at EiE Nigeria. We're marking this milestone with a series of events with the theme FOOTPRINTS: Past | Present | Future, driven by a media awareness campaign tagged #OnePerson. We will host 2 dinners in Lagos & Abuja where we will take our guests on a journey that reflects EiE's past, present and future through a documentary premiere, a book launch, and some awards. Of course, there will be plenty of food, drinks, music and a lot of fun!

In case you missed it, our anniversary advert was published in ThisDay & Leadership Newspapers. Chude Jideonwo and Banky Wellington's articles on the power of #OnePerson were published in Vanguard and Thisday Newspapers respectively. You can join the #OnePerson campaign by simply recording a short video where you talk about how, as ‘ONE PERSON’, you’re leaving a lasting FOOTPRINT in your community. Upload the video on any of your social platforms with the hashtags #OnePerson, #EiEat10, #EiEFootprints and tag @eienigeria.

With a global pandemic, opportunities abound to make a difference as #OnePerson! Consider donating as a birthday present! 10 years is not a joke .

With concerns about the spread of COVID-19 virus in Nigeria and as a measure to protect the EiE team and nation at large, we would be partially shutting down our office next week to minimize the likelihood of infection. Our communication lines - email, phone & DM - are still open.We will remain vigilant in monitoring the situation and would share necessary updates as things evolve.
