Ondo Youths Join the Season of Recalls!

Youths in the Idanre/Ifedore federal constituency of Ondo State have kicked – off the process to recall the lawmaker representing the constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Bamidele Baderinwa (APC). He was alleged to have abandoned his constituency. The youths in the constituency have opened a register at Idanre and Ifedore local governments, asking registered voters to bring their PVC to sign the register.

The constitution provides for the recall of a non-performing legislator but there has been no successful attempt since our return to democracy in 1999.

Office of the Citizen with Chude Jideonwo: Dear President Buhari, You have Broken our Hearts

I write this today because I don’t know what happens next.

I don’t know if you are well, or how well you are. You haven’t treated us, your citizens, your voters, with the respect of telling us what ails you, how it ails you and how it affects your ability to do your job. Instead you treat us with the scorn and contempt that Aso Rock seems to breed – the contempt of silence. Look at the nation you left behind, as you duck for cover in the United Kingdom: Healthcare so shabby even you can’t rely on it for your own well being. Schools still exactly in the state at which you met them more than 25 months ago. An economy in shambles. An anti-corruption fight running around in circles.

We didn’t vote for you to try your best; we didn’t vote for you to complain to no end, no. We voted for you to make change happenRead More

Another #ChibokGirls-Like Tragedy Happening Again!

The #BBOG family described the abduction of 16 policewomen by Boko Haram from a security convoy of vehicles conveying military and police personnel on June 20, 2017 as a painful sense of déjà vu. The BBOG family expressed its worry that 13 days after the reported tragedy, the Federal Government and the military have maintained silence on the matter. The federal authorities cannot keep repeating all the wrong approaches in dealing with victims of terrorism.
