Police Restrict Protests in Abuja
The Nigeria Police has restricted all protests in Abuja to Unity Fountain, citing security reasons. Read more
#StopTheKillings in Rivers
Active citizens in Port Harcourt protested the violent killings in Rivers State yesterday, July 18th. The Nigeria Police denied the protesters entry to Isaac Boro Park the designated convergence point.
Despite the intimidation, they remain unflinching in their demand for better security in the state as 152 people have been killed in the state in the last 3 months.
Senate Extends Investigation on Elisha Abbo
The Senate Committee set up to investigate Mr Elisha Abbo’s case on assault was supposed to present a report of findings on Tuesday, July 16th. ItIt has been postponed till Wednesday, July 24th due to the sensitivity of the issue and delay in police investigation.
