 Citizens Speak with OneVoice - #IStandWithNigeria 

Citizens in Lagos and Abuja came out in large numbers to join the peaceful #IStandWithNigeria protest organised by EiE on Monday, February 6th.Citizens from across Lagos & outside Lagos were joined by Seyi Law, Charles Oputa(Charly Boy), Sahara Reporters’ publisher, Omoyele Sowore on the march from National Stadium, Surulere to National Theatre, Iganmu.In Abuja, Aisha Yesufu, Prof. Chidi Odinkalu, Mma Odi & Ezenwa Nwangwu led citizens from Abuja and its environs to the State House.The Nigerian Police were present in both cities to provide adequate security for citizens.There were also peaceful protests in Abia, Uyo, Ibadan & Enugu that were not organized by EiE.The Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo responded to the protests saying “we hear you loud and clear”. A letter with demands for transparency in all tiers of government, adequate security, reduced cost of governance, social justice and uninterrupted power supply was delivered to him.

 Office of the Citizen in Action Again! 

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress (TUC) and civil society organizations (CSOs) organized a protest on Thursday, February 9th in Lagos and abuja to denounce the suffering in the country. They took their grievances to the National Assembly Complex, Office of the Acting President and Lagos State Secretariat.
