On Sunday, April 14th, EiE joined other civil society organizations to mark #ChibokGirls fifth year in captivity.  The tragic milestone was marked by a series of activities in Abuja, Lagos, London, New York, and Washington DC.

On Monday, April 15th, the #BringBackOurGirls Lagos Family paid a courtesy visit to Governor-Elect of Lagos State Babajide Sanwo-Olu to advocate for the rescue of the girls, and other related issues of concern.

#NigeriaMourns: RIP Ada Ifeanyi  

Two weeks after Kolade Johnson was killed another group of policemen attacked and killed 20-year-old Ifeanyi Ada and  injured Emmanuel Akomafuwa, who is believed to be Ada’s boyfriend.

On May 28th tagged National Day of Mourning, deaths due to incessant killings will be remembered. The first remembrance was held last year across the country. #NigerianLivesMatter Save the date for this year’s remembrance.

Governorship elections held in 29 states during the 2019 general elections. Anambra, Bayelsa, Edo, Ekiti, Kogi, Ondo & Osun States did not have elections as they are off-cycle.The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled Saturday, November 2nd, for elections in Bayelsa and Kogi States.Stay tuned for information on debates!#RSVP
