#NotTooYoungToRun

The Office of the Citizen was in action on Wednesday, March 14th as YIAGA, CODE and other partners under the aegis of #NotTooYoungToRun movement marched to Aso Rock demanding for presidential assent to the #NotTooYoungToRun bill. The protesters were addressed by the Minister of State for Aviation, Mr Hadi Sirika. The minister received the letter of intent on behalf of President Buhari and promised the President will assent the bill.

Budget Padding: Jibrin Resumes Plenary after Suspension

The House of Representatives has lifted the suspension on the former Chairman of Appropriation Committee, Abdulmumin Jibrin. Mr Jibrin was suspended on September 28, 2016 for accusing principal officers of the House of Representatives of budget padding to the tune of N481 billion. 18 months after the allegation, none of the principal officers were prosecuted. Mr Jibrin had written a letter of apology despite a pending case in court.

 7-Day Ultimatum to #BringBackOurGirls   

The #BringBackOurGirls movement has given President Buhari 7-day ultimatum to rescue the 110 #DapchiGirls and the remaining 112 #ChibokGirls. Failure to rescue them will be followed with a legal action against the federal government for criminal negligence. The legal team will be led by Mr Femi Falana, SAN.
