Dear {{First name|Active Citizen}},

On the very first day the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) portal opened, Nigerians made their voices heard. In just seven hours, over 69,000 people pre-registered online!

That turnout is significant because it comes despite deep frustrations with the electoral process - doubts about INEC’s credibility, repeated disappointments from past elections, and the slow pace of reforms that citizens have demanded for years. Yet, young people in particular are refusing to walk away. Instead, they continue to show up, determined to use their numbers and voices to push for better governance.

Here’s how the process works:

  1. Head to www.cvr.inecnigeria.org and fill in your details. You’ll also be able to book a date and time for your in-person appointment.

  2. Physical registration begins on Monday, August 25, 2025 at all 37 INEC state offices and 774 local government offices nationwide (Mon–Fri, 9am–3pm).

This two-step process makes registration easier and cuts down the stress of long queues. All you need to do is show up at your scheduled slot and finish up.

Important reminders
  • If you’ve already registered before, you don’t need to register again. Double registration is an electoral offense.

  • If you’ve lost your PVC, changed location, or noticed errors in your details, the portal is still for you. You can apply for a reprint, request a transfer, or correct your information easily.

Mobilize your friends, colleagues, and neighbours. Encourage your family members. Help people in your community who may not know how to navigate the portal. Together, we can make sure no one is left behind. And remember, we are here to support you. If you need help with mobilization around CVR in your area, send us an email via [email protected] - let’s make it happen, together.

New Date for EiE @ 15 - Mark Your Calendar!

On March 16, 2025, EiE Nigeria quietly marked 15 years of impact. 15 years since young Nigerians raised one united voice saying: “Enough is Enough!”

Fifteen years of protests, petitions, campaigns, debates, civic education & engagement, radio programmes, and policy shifts. Fifteen years of showing up online, offline, and everywhere change called.

This December, we will celebrate that journey with our “Footprints & Frontlines” anniversary gala, where we'll tell the EiE story and honour everyone who has been part of this milestone!

December 10 is significant because it's Human Rights Day, commemorating the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the United Nations in 1948.

Save the date and join us in honouring 15 years of citizen engagement and shared progress.

Have a great weekend!
The EiE Nigeria Team.
