Download Now: Don't Miss Their Stories!

“Behind every number that is inaccurate or missed out is a human life that is potentially not being prioritised.”

Dear Active Citizen,

A decade ago, ThisDay newspaper took the vital step of putting names and faces to most of the innocent Chibok schoolgirls kidnapped by Boko Haram.

This week, we revisited their publication - but with a new lens.

We hear directly from Grace Dauda and Dinah Lawan, two returned Chibok Girls, with different experiences - Grace in captivity for 3 years and Dinah lucky to have been one of the early escapees. They shared their journey with trauma, the challenges of reintegration, and government's failed promises.

Their defiant spirits in the face of unfathomable horror are both heartbreaking and inspiring. Yet the booklet also serves as a sobering reminder: 90 girls are still missing, their families yearning for reunion.

The fight is far from over!
