“As citizens become more educated and aware; data becomes cheaper and more people can get online, more Nigerians will find their voices.”

Dear {{First name|Active Citizen}},
Big news from Ekiti State! The Ekiti State Government, through the Ministry of Local Government Affairs, has officially endorsed the #myLGA Project and directed six LGAs - Ido/Osi, Ekiti South-West, Ijero, Ikere, Ado, and Ikole - to fully support its rollout.
What does this mean? Very soon, #OfficeOfTheCitizen Help Desks will be set up in these LGAs, giving citizens a direct way to ask questions, raise complaints, and track how government is delivering for them. Governance is literally coming closer to you!

From Anambra, Ebonyi, Nasarawa, Ondo, Yobe, and most recently Osun and Ekiti, the #myLGA journey keeps proving one thing: when citizens get involved, leaders pay attention. This is your chance to stay engaged, speak up, and make local government work for your community.
We also want to thank our project partners in Ekiti, Peace Building and Human Development Centre (PHD Centre) and the New Initiative for Social Development (NISD) for making this milestone possible. Together, we’re showing that the Office of the Citizen is the highest office in the land.
Are you in one of the six LGAs in Ekiti? Keep your eyes peeled for updates on when the Help Desks open and how you can get involved.

This project is implemented by the Nigeria Civil Society Situation Room in partnership with Enough is Enough (EiE) Nigeria, with support from the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).

The work of building a better Nigeria never stops - and neither do we.
Have a great weekend!
