The people are not the enemy! Stop killing us.

Dear {{First name|Active Citizen}},

Five years ago, young Nigerians rose in courage -  united across cities, united in pain, and united in purpose. They demanded an end to police brutality and justice for victims. They sang the National Anthem. They waved the flag. They believed change was possible.

Then came the bullets.

The Lagos State Judicial Panel made it plain: what happened at the Lekki Tollgate was a massacre. Peaceful protesters were attacked; lives were lost; families were shattered. Five years later, there has been no justice, no reform, and no accountability.

But silence is not an option. We remember - not just to mourn, but to remind those in power that truth cannot be buried and voices cannot be silenced.

This year, we mark #EndSARSAtFive with a renewed call for justice and remembrance. Join us this Monday, October 20, 2025, at 7PM (WAT) for an online discussion on X(formerly Twitter) with activists who stood on the frontlines. Together, we reflect on five years since the Lekki massacre - and demand action.

Stay tuned for updates on other engagements and activities as citizens across the world honour this moment and continue the call for justice.

We remember. We resist. We will not be silent.
